How We Score

Rating Methodology

Every Trust Score is the auto-computed average of six categories we test hands-on — never a number anyone types in by hand.

Reading a Score

The Rating Scale, Explained

1
🔻

0 – 4.9 Needs Improvement

Real problems in at least one category — a license issue, a broken withdrawal process, or misleading bonus terms.

2
➖

5 – 6.9 Average

Functional and licensed, but with clear weak spots — slow support, thin game library, or below-average payout speed.

3
👍

7 – 7.9 Good

A solid, dependable casino with no major red flags — the kind we'd comfortably recommend to most players.

4
⭐

8 – 8.9 Very Good

Strong across nearly every category, with maybe one area that's merely good instead of excellent.

5
🏆

9 – 10 Excellent

Top of the field in every category we test — fast payouts, deep library, real support, and a clean license record.

The Six Categories

What Each Category Actually Scores

🎁

Bonuses

A high score needs sub-30x wagering, broad game eligibility, and no hidden max-cashout trap — not just a big headline percentage.

🎰

Game Variety

Scored on real library depth across slots, live dealer, table games and jackpots — not the total count alone.

⚡

Payout Speed

Scored against our own timed withdrawal, not the casino's advertised processing time — same-day clears the highest.

🎧

Customer Support

Scored on how fast and how well a real message to support actually gets answered, across every channel offered.

📱

Mobile Experience

Scored on real phone testing — load times, full game parity with desktop, and a checkout flow that doesn't break.

🛡️

Trustworthiness

Scored on license verification, ownership transparency, and how complaints are actually handled — not just a badge in the footer.

Every score is auto-computed. No category is weighted by hand, and no casino can negotiate its number.

Behind the Numbers

More on How Scoring Works

Trust Score vs. Player Rating

Trust Score is the average of the six categories above — our own hands-on editorial score. Player Rating is a completely separate number, built entirely from real visitor votes in our comments and forum. Neither one feeds into the other, and a casino can score well on one while lagging on the other.

Why We Don't Let Casinos See Scores Early

A casino sees its review at the same time everyone else does — publishing draft scores for feedback would open the door to exactly the kind of negotiation this methodology exists to prevent.

How Ties Are Broken in Toplists

When two casinos land on the same Trust Score, our toplists order them by the underlying category scores next, then by review recency — never by anything commercial.

When We Recalculate a Score

A Trust Score updates automatically the moment we revise any of its six categories — a payout speed regression or a support improvement shows up immediately, with no manual re-scoring step in between.

Common Questions

Rating Methodology FAQ

Can a casino pay for a higher score?

No — every Trust Score is auto-computed from the six category scores, with no manual override and no paid placement anywhere in the calculation.

Why did a casino's score change?

A Trust Score only moves when we revise one of its six underlying categories, usually after a re-test — a change in bonus terms, payout speed, or licensing status is the most common cause.

What's the difference between Trust Score and Player Rating?

Trust Score is our own editorial score from hands-on testing. Player Rating is a separate, real aggregate built entirely from visitor votes — the two are calculated independently.

Do all six categories count equally?

Yes — Trust Score is a plain average of all six, with no category weighted more heavily than another.
