Playtech is one of the biggest casino software providers. Founded in 1999 and listed on the London Stock Exchange, it makes slots, live dealer tables, bingo and poker software, and the platforms behind many Playtech casinos. It says it has more than 1,000 casino games from eight content studios.
This Playtech slots review covers the best Playtech games and jackpots, the live casino and bingo software, what we found on Playtech RTP settings, its licences, reputation and results, and how to choose a casino. Facts come from playtech.com, the company’s results announcements, regulator records and named trade sources, checked on 17 October 2026.
Short answer: this is one of the broadest catalogues in regulated gambling, and its Age of the Gods jackpots link slots, live roulette, bingo and poker. It is licensed in the UK and Malta and publishes audited annual results. The weak spot for players is RTP: playtech.com publishes no figures, and some games come in lower-paying versions. Its record also includes a 2020 UK regulatory case and an unresolved dispute with Evolution.

Who Is Playtech? Company Profile and History
The company’s own site gives 1999 as its founding year. Wikipedia and slot databases add that it began in Tartu, Estonia, founded by Teddy Sagi, and Wikipedia says it floated on London’s AIM market in March 2006. Mor Weizer is chief executive, and the group employs more than 7,400 people in 20 countries, according to its results.
The group sells much more than games. Its site lists a player account platform (PAM+), payments, casino, live, poker, bingo, retail and sports betting products, plus the BetBuddy analytics behind its Playtech Protect safer-gambling tool. So “online casino Playtech software” can mean a single slot or an operator’s entire back end, and Playtech gaming covers everything from bingo rooms to sportsbooks. For most players, though, Playtech casino software simply means the games.

Who Owns Playtech?
The group is listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange as Playtech plc (ticker PTEC) and is a FTSE 250 company, so it has no single controlling owner in the sources we read. Founder Teddy Sagi sold his remaining shares in November 2018, according to Wikipedia. We could not verify the current shareholder register, so we name no major holders.
In October 2021 the board agreed a 680p-per-share offer from Aristocrat Leisure worth about ยฃ2.7bn. At the vote on 2 February 2022 it won 56.13% support at the court meeting, short of the 75% needed, so it lapsed, according to trade press.
Playtech Games: What the Catalogue Includes
Playtech casino games cover almost every product a casino needs. Its casino page claims over 1,000 games and more than 60 new releases a year, and its 2025 results add 25 exclusive casino titles in 2025, double the 2024 number. Slot databases list several hundred Playtech slot machines, but their counts vary widely, so we use the company figure.
The range goes well beyond slots, into live dealer tables, live and RNG roulette, bingo, the iPoker network and sports betting.
Slot Series: Age of the Gods, Fire Blaze, Cash Collect and More
Most of its slots belong to a suite that shares a feature or a jackpot, so a slot game Playtech releases is usually easy to place once you know the names:
- Age of the Gods (since 2016): Greek-myth slots tied to four shared progressive jackpots. The company calls it the first jackpot available across more than one product type.
- Fire Blaze (launched 2019): Blue Wizard, Sky Queen and sister brands Mega Fire Blaze, Fire Blaze Golden and Fire Blaze Quattro, with four in-game jackpots won through Hold and Respin. In Blue Wizard, SlotCatalog says six or more Moon symbols start three respins, each new Moon locks and resets the count, and filling the grid wins the Grand Jackpot, listed at 2,000x. Triggers differ by game.
- Cash Collect: the company describes a special main-game symbol that awards on-reel cash prizes and sets the number of free games. It appears in Witches, Football! and branded titles such as The Walking Dead: Cash Collect, Gold Rush: Cash Collect and Breaking Bad: Cash Collect & Link.
- Kingdoms Rise (October 2019, per SlotCatalog and OLBG): linked games where you collect tokens to spend in an in-game shop, with three progressive jackpots called Daily Strike, Power Strike and Epic Jackpot. The casino page does not name this suite.
- Branded games: the company names The Walking Dead, Gladiator, The Mummy, Rocky, Gold Rush and Breaking Bad.
Megaways and Bonus Buy: What the Sources Show
Yes on Megaways. Quickspin’s own game page lists Big Bad Wolf Megaways, a 2021 release with up to 117,649 Megaways, and slot databases list Buffalo Blitz Megaways from Playtech Origins (November 2021). Neither company names the Megaways licence arrangement on the pages we read.
We found no official policy on Bonus Buy. SlotCatalog says Big Bad Wolf Megaways has a 90x bonus buy that is not available to UK players, which is consistent with the Gambling Commission’s 2020 warning to operators about feature buy-in on slot-style games (all six operators it contacted removed the feature).
Best Playtech Slots and Top Playtech Games
If you want to play Playtech slots, start with these top Playtech online slots, named most often by slot databases, competitor guides and the company’s own pages. The company publishes no RTP, volatility or max win on its own site, so most figures below are commonly listed ones from SlotCatalog; the Sakura Fortune models come from Quickspin’s game page. Check the paytable at your casino before you play.
| Game | Released | Format | RTP (commonly listed) | Volatility |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Age of the Gods | 2016 | 5x3, 20 lines, four jackpots | 95.02% incl. 0.99% jackpot share | Medium |
| Buffalo Blitz | 1 Jul 2016 | 6x4, 4,096 ways | 95.96% | High |
| Buffalo Blitz Megaways (Origins) | 26 Nov 2021 | Megaways plus four jackpots | 96.29% incl. 0.99% jackpot share | High |
| Great Blue | 15 Jun 2013 | 5x3, 25 lines | 96.03% | High |
| Gladiator Road to Rome | Dec 2017 | 5x3, 25 lines, progressive jackpot | 95.05% incl. about 1% jackpot share | Medium |
| Blue Wizard (Fire Blaze) | 2019 | Hold and Respin, four in-game jackpots | 96.5% | Sources differ |
| Ugga Bugga | 15 Jul 2006 | 10 mini-slots, hold and respin | 99.07% | Low |
| Jackpot Giant | 20 Dec 2014 | 5x3, 50 lines, progressive | Sources conflict | Not listed |
| Big Bad Wolf (Quickspin) | 2012 or 2013 (sources differ) | 5x3, 25 lines | 97.34% (a 90.01% version is also listed) | Medium-high |
| Sakura Fortune (Quickspin) | 3 Apr 2017 | 5 reels x 4 rows, 40 lines | 96% and 90% models (Quickspin); 96.58% commonly listed | Extremely volatile (Quickspin) |
Age of the Gods: The Flagship Series
The original Age of the Gods is a 5×3, 20-line slot with four free-spin modes named after Athena, Zeus, Poseidon and Hercules, according to SlotCatalog. The company announced Age of the Gods: God of Storms on 6 June 2017 as the eighth title in the series, a 5-reel, 25-line game with Wild Wind respins and the same four linked jackpots. Max win figures for the original conflict between databases (10,000x and 50,000x), so check the paytable.
Ugga Bugga Playtech Slot: The 99.07% RTP Claim
Ugga Bugga (July 2006, per SlotCatalog) keeps turning up in searches because of one number: a 99.07% RTP, repeated by SlotCatalog and other databases. Bonus.com says the figure is shown in the game’s information panel. It is a low-volatility game of ten small slot strips with a hold-and-respin feature, though sites describe the layout differently.
The caveats: the figure is commonly listed, not published by the company; a casino could run a different version; and 99.07% is a long-run average. You can still lose your session budget, and Bonus.com lists the top win at 1,000x.
| If youโฆ | Try | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Want the highest commonly listed RTP | Ugga Bugga | 99.07% commonly listed and low volatility, but a small top win |
| Want a shot at a large jackpot | The Age of the Gods series | Four linked progressive tiers; the top one is a very long shot |
| Like lots of ways to win | Buffalo Blitz or Buffalo Blitz Megaways | 4,096 ways, or Megaways reels plus jackpots |
| Like hold-and-respin features | Blue Wizard or another Fire Blaze game | Locked symbols and four in-game jackpots |
| Prefer live dealers with bonus multipliers | Mega Fire Blaze Roulette | Single-zero roulette with a Fire Blaze bonus round |
| Like TV and film themes | The Walking Dead, Gladiator or Rocky slots | Licensed brands named by the company |
New Playtech Slots in 2025 and 2026
Recent releases tend to extend existing suites, so new names often carry Cash Collect, Fire Blaze or Age of the Gods tags. SlotCatalog lists Taco Libre Jackpot: Cash Collect Max with an approximate release date of 5 July 2026, and Queen of the 3 Pyramids: Cash Collect (16 September 2026) as the latest Origins release when we checked. We don’t quote max wins or RTPs for brand-new titles until we can check them in the game.
Playtech Jackpot Games: How the Age of the Gods Network Works
The company says its jackpot network features over 80 games. The best known is Age of the Gods, with four progressive jackpots that, according to the company, can be won from any game in the suite, subject to local rules, and that also run on live casino, iPoker and online bingo.
How do you reach them? According to SlotCatalog, the jackpot bonus can start at random on any base-game spin at any stake, though higher stakes improve the odds of triggering it. You then pick from 20 coins until three match, and entering the bonus guarantees one of the four prizes. SlotCatalog lists starting values of โฌ50 (Power), โฌ500 (Extra Power), โฌ5,000 (Super Power) and โฌ100,000 (Ultimate Power); OLBG also gives ยฃ100,000 as the Ultimate Power minimum.
Fire Blaze works differently: its jackpots sit inside each game. Jackpot Giant is an older progressive slot (December 2014), whose jackpot is won by landing five wilds on the first payline, per SlotCatalog.
Jackpot Odds: What You Should Know Before You Play
- Part of every stake funds the jackpot. SlotCatalog lists Age of the Gods at 95.02% RTP including a 0.99% jackpot contribution, so roughly 94% comes back through the base game and features.
- Higher stakes buy better odds, not better value. Raising your bet to chase a jackpot raises your expected losses too.
- A big jackpot is never “due”. Each spin is independent, however long the pot has been growing.
Playtech Live Casino: Tables, Studios and Live Games
The Playtech live casino is a major business in its own right. The company’s results put it at about 500 live tables across 17 studios at the end of 2025 and about 480 at June 2026, and live revenue grew 8% in the first half of 2026.
Studios named on its live page include a flagship in Riga, Latvia, plus Romania, Spain, Peru, Sรฃo Paulo and three US states. “Live from Vegas” streams from the MGM Grand, and “Live from London”, announced on 15 September 2026, from the Hippodrome Casino. An AI Virtual Host, launched in July 2026, runs on Quantum Roulette and Quantum Roulette x1000.
Playtech Live Games and Playtech Roulette
Live games named on the official live page include:
- Roulette: Mega Fire Blaze Roulette, Age of the Gods Mega Fire Blaze Roulette, Quantum Roulette, Quantum Roulette x1000 and Roulette VZN.
- Card games: Mega Fire Blaze Blackjack, Blackjack VZN, Baccarat VZN and Sette e Mezzo.
- Game shows and others: Family Feud Live from Vegas, Spin a Win VZN, Spin a Win Wild, Mega Fire Blaze Lucky Ball, Wonderland Lucky Ball, the Greatest Cards Show, Trivia Show Live and Live Slots (Buffalo Blitz).
Mega Fire Blaze Roulette Playtech: How the Live Game Works
Mega Fire Blaze Roulette is the live version of the Fire Blaze idea; the company says the live suite was modelled on the original slots. It is single-zero roulette where randomly chosen “fire” numbers can trigger a bonus round on a grid. CasinoScores lists jackpot multipliers of 20x, 100x, 500x and 2,000x, bonus multipliers up to 10,000x and stakes of โฌ1 to โฌ25. Other sources give 2,000x as the top figure, so check the rules.
Both sources list a 97.30% RTP, and SlotCatalog flags an RTP range, which suggests other versions may exist. SlotCatalog dates the live game to June 2021; 2020 trade coverage describes an earlier Origins release.
Hi-Lo Club Playtech: Is It Still Live?
Hi-Lo Club was a real live game from the group. In July 2019 trade press reported that the company had relaunched its live Hi-Lo game as Hi-Lo Club, with a 1980s Miami theme, alongside American Roulette and Spread-Bet Roulette. It does not appear on the current official live page, and we could not confirm whether it is still offered in 2026.
Bingo Software and Playtech Bingo Sites
The group’s bingo business grew from its 2010 purchase of Virtue Fusion, an online bingo developer founded in 1999, for an initial ยฃ29m. Today its bingo page says it is the bingo provider for more than 19 major operators in key markets and describes its network as the largest-liquidity bingo network in the world. It also claims about 40% of the UK bingo market, a company figure we could not check independently.
The software covers exclusive variants, rooms based on TV brands, side games including lower-volatility slots and scratchcards, an Age of the Gods Bingo variant and loyalty tools, all on its Playtech ONE technology. On 24 September 2026 it announced Dab & Blab Live, part of a new Live Bingo Stream that mixes bingo with live chat, mini-games, quizzes and prizes for operators on its UK and .com network. The group also runs the iPoker network and sports products such as Bet Builder.
How to Choose a Bingo Site
- Licence first. In the UK, check the site on the UKGC public register before you deposit.
- Rooms and tickets. Check when rooms run, ticket prices and whether prizes are fixed or depend on sales.
- Bonus terms. Bingo bonuses often carry wagering and game restrictions; read them before you accept.
- Side games. Check the RTP of slots and scratchcards in each game’s rules.
- Safer-gambling tools. Deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion should be easy to find.
We don’t hand-pick Playtech bingo sites. The casino list at the bottom of this page shows the sites we have reviewed that carry its games, ranked by FAQsino Trust Score and filtered to your location; apply the same checks to any bingo site you consider.
Playtech RTP: Why the Same Game Can Pay Back Less
RTP (return to player) is the share of all money staked that a game is designed to pay back over a very large number of plays. The company’s own site publishes no RTP for any game we checked. Its studio Quickspin is more open: its game pages list the RTP models each game ships with, for example 90%, 94% and 96% for Big Bad Wolf Megaways and 90% and 96% for Sakura Fortune. We found no equivalent statement for its own-brand games.
That confirms some group games come in several versions, and SlotCatalog flags an “RTP range” on others, including Mega Fire Blaze Roulette and Buffalo Blitz Megaways. Where versions exist, the casino picks one, so the same title can return less at one site than another with no visible difference.
| Game | Higher figure | Lower figure | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Big Bad Wolf Megaways (Quickspin) | 96% | 90% (a 94% model also exists) | Quickspin game page |
| Sakura Fortune (Quickspin) | 96% | 90% | Quickspin game page |
| Big Bad Wolf (Quickspin) | 97.34% | 90.01% | SlotCatalog |
| Mega Fire Blaze Roulette (live) | 97.30% | RTP range flagged; other figures not listed | SlotCatalog, CasinoScores |
What does that gap mean in money? On ยฃ1,000 of total stakes, the 97.34% version of Big Bad Wolf is designed to return about ยฃ973 on average and the 90.01% version about ยฃ900, a theoretical difference of roughly ยฃ73. These are long-run averages: any single session can end far above or below either figure.
The table below shows the highest figures SlotCatalog lists for its slots. They are database figures, not company ones, and the casino chooses the version, so check the game rules.
| Game | Released | RTP | Volatility | Top win listed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ugga Bugga | 15 Jul 2006 | 99.07% | Low | 1,000x |
| Triple Profits | 15 Jun 2006 | 98.72% | Not listed | 1,000x |
| Golden Tour | 27 Sep 2012 | 97.71% | Medium | 2,000x |
| Alien Hunter | 1 May 2007 | 97.69% | Medium | 10,000x |
At the other end, White King (November 2014, 5×4, 40 paylines, high volatility) is listed at 90.05% by both SlotCatalog and next.io, about nine points below Ugga Bugga. NetEnt and Pragmatic Play show RTP figures on their own game pages; with its own-brand games you have to find them in the game, which is why RTP transparency is its lowest score with us.
How to Check Playtech RTP at Your Casino
-
Step 1
Open the game at the casino where you plan to play. Where several versions exist, each casino picks its own, so a figure from a review site or another casino may not match.
-
Step 2
Before you spin, open the game menu and find the help, paytable or "i" information screen.
-
Step 3
Look for the theoretical RTP or return to player percentage. For jackpot games, check whether the figure includes the jackpot contribution.
-
Step 4
Compare it with the commonly listed figure, for example 99.07% for Ugga Bugga, or with the 96% top model on a Quickspin game. A noticeably lower figure means the casino runs a lower version.
-
Step 5
If you cannot find the figure, ask customer support before you play, or check the same game at another licensed casino.
Playtech Slots Payouts, Volatility and UK Rules
RTP tells you the long-run average; volatility tells you how unevenly Playtech slots payouts arrive. Ugga Bugga is commonly listed as low volatility, Age of the Gods as medium, and Buffalo Blitz and Great Blue as high, where long runs of small or no wins are normal. How fast you are paid is set by the casino, not the studio, so check its withdrawal times and verification rules.
Whoever made the game, UK-licensed casinos follow the same slot rules. The maximum stake on online slots is ยฃ5 a spin for adults aged 25 and over and ยฃ2 for 18 to 24-year-olds (from 9 April and 21 May 2025). Since 31 October 2021 the Gambling Commission has required spins to take at least 2.5 seconds and banned autoplay, features that speed up play and reverse withdrawals.
Playtech Free Slots and Demo Play: What to Know
You can try free Playtech slots in demo mode in our game reviews: every game review on FAQsino includes a free demo where the studio allows it. A Playtech demo uses play money, so nothing you win has any cash value or can be withdrawn, including a jackpot hit in demo mode.
- Age checks apply. UK-licensed casinos must verify your age before free play, so expect to register first if you want Playtech games free play at a casino.
- The RTP may differ. A demo may not run the same version as your casino. Check the real game’s rules.
- Demos don’t predict results. A good run on Playtech free slots online with play money says nothing about the next real-money spin.
- Availability varies. Playtech slots free play is not offered for every game in every country, and live games rarely have a demo.
Whether you search for free slots Playtech offers or free Playtech slot games, the answer is the same: play-money demos that are useful for learning how free spins, Hold and Respin or Megaways reels work. If free play starts to make you want to chase real-money wins, our Responsible Gambling page lists tools and free support.
Playtech Slots Demo Play: How to Try a Game Safely
-
Step 1
Open FAQsino's Casino Games section and find the review of the game you want to try. The free demo is included wherever the studio allows it.
-
Step 2
Start the demo. It uses play money with no cash value, and demo wins cannot be withdrawn.
-
Step 3
Learn the features: how the bonus triggers, what the symbols pay and how the jackpot rules work.
-
Step 4
Note the RTP shown in the demo's rules, then check it again at the casino where you plan to play, as it may run a different version.
-
Step 5
Set a deposit limit before you switch to real money, and never deposit just to test a game.
Licences and Regulators: Who Approves Its Games
The company’s own pages list two licences: the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority. It says it works in more than 40 regulated jurisdictions (website) or more than 50 regulated and regulating ones (latest results), but publishes no breakdown, and its licences pages returned an error when we checked. Group studio Quickspin holds its own Swedish licence.
| Regulator | Licence | Status and detail |
|---|---|---|
| UK Gambling Commission | Account 38516, Playtech Plc | Seven active licences; no regulatory actions on the register (checked 17 Oct 2026) |
| Malta Gaming Authority | MGA/CRP/137/2007, critical gaming supply | Issued 6 Dec 2018, as stated by the company; we could not search the MGA register |
| Spelinspektionen (Sweden) | Quickspin AB (group studio): game-software licence, 1 Jul 2023 to 30 Jun 2028 | None found for Playtech plc itself; Quickspin received a warning and a SEK 650,000 sanction fee in 2025 |
| Isle of Man | None found | Registered office in Douglas since 1 Oct 2025; that is not a gambling licence |
| Other markets | None found in the sources we checked | Launches with customers in Spain, Poland, Ontario and US states are customer activity, not group licences we could verify |
| Licence | Type | In force from |

We read the entry on the UKGC public register on 17 October 2026. Read our reviews of the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority for what each licence means for players.
Safer-Gambling Accreditation and Awards
We found no test-lab certificates (such as GLI or BMM) named on the pages we read. The company’s site shows GamStop and Take Time to Think logos, and its half-year results say its Playtech Protect tool had been adopted by 41 brands in 16 jurisdictions by mid-2026. GamCare’s 2021 award covered only some of its products, so read it as a statement about those.
| Date | Award | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| 27 Jul 2021 | GamCare B2B Safer Gambling Standard | First recipient, at Advanced level (second of three tiers); covered its GB casino product and platform operations, per trade press |
| FY2025 results | MGA ESG Seal (B2B Tier 1) | Reported in the company's 2025 results |
| 2026 | EGR Live Casino Supplier of the Year | Cited in the company's 2026 half-year results |
Is Playtech Safe? Reputation, Regulatory Record and Disputes
A group this large and old has a longer record than most studios, and many Playtech reviews skip it. These are the matters we could verify, worded as the sources state them.
UK Gambling Commission Findings Against PTES (2020)
On 27 May 2020 the UK Gambling Commission published findings of systemic failings in social responsibility and anti-money-laundering controls at PT Entertainment Services (PTES), which used to trade as winner.co.uk and titanbet.co.uk and which trade press and the company’s own statements describe as a group subsidiary. PTES had surrendered its licence during the investigation. The Commission said it would have imposed a ยฃ3.5m penalty.
The group then pledged to donate ยฃ3.5m to harm-prevention charities, plus a further ยฃ5m over five years, according to trade press. So this was a donation of the same amount, not a fine. The case concerned a consumer-facing brand, not the games the company supplies.
Quickspin Warning in Sweden and a US$500 New Jersey Penalty
On 17 September 2025 Spelinspektionen, the Swedish Gambling Authority, gave group studio Quickspin AB a warning and a SEK 650,000 sanction fee for supplying game software, through content partners, to companies without a Swedish licence. The breach was found in a check on 15 May 2025, and Quickspin said it had corrected it by 23 May 2025.
In New Jersey, the Division of Gaming Enforcement fined PT Services (Delaware), LLC US$500 for doing business with Golden Nugget Online Gaming between June and November 2024 without a transactional waiver. The company accepted the penalty on 28 August 2025, and the order was signed on 9 September 2025. We found no other regulator fines against group companies in the sources we checked, though that search was not exhaustive.
Black Cube and the Evolution Lawsuit
The most reported dispute involves Evolution, its main live casino rival. In December 2021 Evolution sued a New Jersey law firm, and the then-unnamed parties behind a report about it, for defamation.
That anonymous report, sent to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania regulators in November 2021, alleged that Evolution’s games were available in prohibited markets. Black Cube, which wrote the report, was added as a defendant in June 2025. Trade press reports that New Jersey’s regulator closed its own inquiry in February 2024, finding no evidence that Evolution permitted or materially benefited from such play.
The company’s own results state that its subsidiary Playtech Software Limited commissioned the 2021 Black Cube report. It says it stands by that decision, that the investigation was carried out lawfully, and it disputes any allegation of unlawful conduct. Evolution alleges trade libel, fraud and racketeering; those allegations are unproven.
In April 2026 Evolution asked the court to add the parent company and Playtech Software Limited as defendants. On 5 June 2026 the judge denied that request without prejudice, a procedural decision rather than a ruling on the merits, and the existing defendants’ anti-SLAPP motion is due to be heard in November 2026. In its September 2026 half-year results, the company said no claim had been served on any group company. We found no court finding against it in the sources we checked.
A big supplier's licences tell you its games were approved in the UK and Malta. They do not tell you which RTP version a casino runs or whether that casino is licensed where you live. Check both before you play.

In its 2026 half-year results the company guided to adjusted EBITDA of more than โฌ270m for 2026, with the second half expected to be lower than the first, and kept its medium-term targets of โฌ250โ300m adjusted EBITDA and โฌ70โ100m free cash flow. It also flagged UK Remote Gaming Duty rising from 21% to 40% from 1 April 2026.
The group still runs a small consumer-facing arm, now a lower priority: Sun Bingo and Other B2C made โฌ31.7m of revenue in the first half of 2026, and the German HAPPYBET business is due to close by the end of 2026.

Best Playtech Casinos: How to Choose One
Playtech casinos are licensed operators that carry its games; the company says it supplies more than 180 licensees. The operator holds your money, picks the RTP version and handles withdrawals, so the best Playtech casinos are the ones that get those basics right, not the ones with the biggest jackpot banner. Check these before you sign up at any Playtech casino online:
- A licence where you live. Playtech casinos UK players use should hold a UKGC licence; check the register. UK players are better protected on UKGC-licensed sites.
- The RTP version. Open two or three games and compare the Playtech RTP in the rules with the figures above.
- Payout terms. Look for clear withdrawal limits, timescales and verification rules.
- Jackpot rules. If you play Age of the Gods, check that the casino shows the jackpot rules and current values.
- Safer-gambling tools. Deposit limits, time-outs, reality checks and self-exclusion should be easy to find.
Our Playtech Casino List and Mobile Casinos
We don’t hand-pick a “best” list. The “Casinos with Playtech Games” section at the bottom of this page lists every casino we have reviewed that carries its games, ranked by FAQsino Trust Score and geo-targeted, so you only see sites relevant to where you are.
For Playtech mobile casinos, meaning casino mobile Playtech gaming on a phone or tablet, the company says it offers a fully native, customisable casino app and games across all devices. We found no HTML5 statement and have not run device tests, and how Playtech mobile games feel depends on the casino’s own site or app.
How to Spot Which Studio Made a Game
Casino lobbies don’t always show the developer clearly. These clues help:
- The loading screen often shows the Playtech logo or a group studio name such as Quickspin, Eyecon or Origins.
- Suite names: Age of the Gods, Fire Blaze, Cash Collect, Kingdoms Rise and Buffalo Blitz appear across many titles.
- A four-tier jackpot display: Power, Extra Power, Super Power and Ultimate Power mark the Age of the Gods network.
- Live tables with “VZN”, “Quantum” or “Mega Fire Blaze” in the name come from its live studios.
How It Compares: Evolution, Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, Play'n GO and Games Global
How it compares with the developers we reviewed in our first batch, using only what each company publishes:
| Developer | Main focus | Live casino scale | RTP on its own game pages? | Ownership (as published) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Playtech | Slots, live casino, bingo, poker and platform | About 500 tables, 17 studios (end of 2025) | No (Quickspin pages list RTP models) | Listed on the LSE (PTEC) |
| Evolution | Live casino, plus slot brands | About 2,000 tables, 24 studios (end of 2025) | Not compared | Listed on Nasdaq Stockholm (EVO) |
| Pragmatic Play | Slots, live casino, bingo, virtual sports | Own studios, including Bucharest | Yes, one figure per game page | Private investor group led by Veridian (Gibraltar) Limited |
| NetEnt | Slots | None of its own (an Evolution brand) | Yes, with hit frequency and max win | Evolution, since December 2020 |
| Play'n GO | Slots, plus three table games | None | No | Private; owners not published |
| Games Global | Multi-studio slot network, 1,300+ games | Not compared | Not compared | Zinnia Limited, per a 2024 SEC filing |
The clearest contrasts: it is broader than any studio here, selling platform and bingo software as well as games. By table count, the Playtech live casino is about a quarter of the size of Evolution’s. Like Play’n GO, it publishes no RTP for its own-brand games. For a rival jackpot network, see Games Global, home of Mega Moolah. Browse our live casino studio reviews and slot studio reviews to compare further.
What We Could Not Verify
Being clear about gaps is part of a fair review. As of 17 October 2026 we could not confirm:
- Official RTPs for its own-brand games, and whether the company lets casinos choose between versions. Apart from the Quickspin models quoted above, every RTP on this page is a commonly listed figure.
- Licences beyond the UK and Malta for the parent company itself (group studio Quickspin holds a Swedish licence). The company cites 40+ or 50+ jurisdictions, but we found no other licence numbers.
- Test labs or certificates for its games.
- Max wins for Age of the Gods (10,000x or 50,000x) and Mega Fire Blaze Roulette, and the live roulette game’s exact launch date (2020 or 2021).
- Whether Hi-Lo Club is still offered, and the licence arrangement behind its Megaways titles.
- A mobile or HTML5 statement, the full shareholder register, or the outcome of the November 2026 hearing.
Our Verdict
It is a heavyweight: more than 1,000 games, a jackpot network that runs across slots, live roulette, bingo and poker, about 500 Playtech live casino tables at the end of 2025, and bingo software it says more than 19 major operators use. Age of the Gods, Buffalo Blitz and Mega Fire Blaze Roulette give it a recognisable catalogue, and its UKGC entry showed no regulatory actions when we checked.
The catch is transparency for players. No RTPs for its own-brand games, lower versions confirmed for some group games, the 2020 PTES case and the unresolved Evolution dispute all count against it. Learn a game in demo mode, check the RTP in the game rules at your casino and set a deposit limit before you stake real money.
