CashtoCode is a cash payment method for online casinos and betting sites. You choose it at the casino cashier, receive a barcode, and pay the amount in notes and coins at a kiosk, tobacconist or petrol station. The shop scans the code and the deposit lands straight away. It is run by Funanga, which operates through Funanga AG in Berlin and Funanga Ltd in the UK, and says it has been active since 2013.

Short answer: it suits players who want to fund a casino account without a card or bank details, and it is fast once you have paid. It is deposit-only, its fees and limits are not published, and we found no licence or safeguarding statement for the company. Plan your withdrawal method before you deposit, and only play at a casino licensed where you live (18+). For other options, see our payment methods hub.

One Brand, Two Different Products

Much of the confusion online comes from the fact that two different things are sold under one brand. Knowing which one you are looking at answers most questions about buying, limits and countries.

  • Classic (cash barcode): the main product, called “Classic” by third-party sites, and the one the official German site describes. You create a barcode in the casino’s payment area, take it to a participating shop and pay cash. Nothing is bought in advance.
  • The eVoucher: a 20-digit code bought online from a reseller and typed in at the cashier. Third-party sources describe it as a regional product. Dundle’s listing said its codes cannot be used in Europe, the United States or the UK, and showed them as unavailable when we checked.

So if you live in Germany or Austria, the barcode is the product the official site supports. If a website offers you a code for use in Europe, check where it can actually be redeemed before you pay.

CashtoCode Official Website: Which Site Is Real?

Search for the brand and you will often see cashtocode.com, which looks like a company homepage. It isn’t. Its own About page describes it as an independent information portal that is not the payment provider, does not process transactions and earns affiliate revenue. Its imprint names Eightball Marketing Services LLC in Malta. We treat its claims as third-party information, not official statements.

The company behind the method is Funanga, whose site at funanga.com is aimed at merchants. For players, Funanga links to cashtocode.de, the German-language consumer site with instructions, a shop finder and support details. We did not find a single global consumer site.

No CashtoCode Login, Account or PayPal Link

The official FAQ is direct: you don’t need an account and you don’t register anywhere. There is no CashtoCode login to look for; the only login involved is your casino account. The current instructions on the official site involve no app, wallet or password. Its terms, dated 30 October 2017, still describe an app account with a username and password, but the current FAQ says no account is needed. Be wary of any page that asks you to sign in to a CashtoCode account.

We also found no link between the service and PayPal. PayPal is not a way to pay the barcode, and the method is not a PayPal product. Whether you can pay for an eVoucher with PayPal depends on the reseller. Dundle’s page for the product lists PayPal among its checkout options, but its codes were out of stock when we checked on 20 October 2026.

How to Make a CashtoCode Deposit at a Casino

Tools: Casino account, smartphone or printout, cash
  1. Step 1

Log in to your casino account, open the cashier and choose CashtoCode. Enter the amount; the casino then shows a personal barcode for that deposit.

  2. Step 2

Save the barcode on your phone or print it. It stays valid for 7 days and works at any participating shop, so you do not need a new code if one shop cannot help.

  3. Step 3

Use the official shop finder to locate a kiosk, tobacconist, petrol station or small shop near you.

  4. Step 4

Show the barcode at the till and pay the amount in cash. Some shops have a daily limit for prepaid payments; if you reach it, go to another shop.

  5. Step 5

Once the code is scanned, the payment is complete and the balance is available in your casino account straight away. Keep the receipt.

Using a CashtoCode eVoucher at the Cashier

Where the eVoucher is sold, the flow is shorter: buy a code from a reseller, choose the method at the casino cashier and type in the 20-digit PIN. Resellers named by the independent portal include Reloadhero, Dundle, OffGamers and Coinsbee. Online, you buy CashtoCode as an eVoucher through resellers; the cash barcode is created at the cashier, not bought in advance.

Keep your barcode or CashtoCode voucher code to yourself. The official site calls the barcode personal and secure, and nobody who contacts you out of the blue claiming to be from a casino or support team has a reason to ask for it; that is a classic voucher scam.

Buy a code in the same currency as your casino balance, check that the reseller sells it for your country, and keep the receipt. According to the portal, a code bought from an unofficial seller cannot be refunded by the company.

CashtoCode Withdrawal: Casino Payouts Need Another Route

This is the point many casino guides skip. The official instructions say it plainly: you pay money in, and payouts do not run through the service. There is no barcode in reverse and no shop that hands you casino winnings in cash under this scheme.

When you win, the casino pays you by another method it supports, typically a bank transfer, an e-wallet or, at some sites, crypto. One thing follows:

  • The casino may ask you to verify the new payout method and your identity (KYC) before it releases money, so a first withdrawal can take longer than the deposit did (see our fast withdrawals guide).

How to Set Up a Payout Route Before You Deposit

Tools: Casino account, ID documents, bank account or e-wallet
  1. Step 1

Open the casino's payment page or terms and note which withdrawal methods it offers in your country.

  2. Step 2

Pick one you already use and that is in your own name, such as a bank account or an e-wallet.

  3. Step 3

Complete the casino's identity checks early by uploading the documents it asks for.

  4. Step 4

Note the minimum withdrawal, any fees and the stated processing time for that method, then make your first cash deposit.

The barcode is a one-way door: cash goes in at a shop counter, and winnings come out somewhere else. Set up that second route before you pay.

CashtoCode Fees and Limits: What Is Actually Published

Neither the German consumer site nor funanga.com publishes a consumer fee schedule for the cash barcode, or states that paying one is free. For the eVoucher, the independent portal and Dundle say there is no fee to redeem a code; the portal adds that most resellers sell at face value, while some crypto-focused ones add a handling charge of 1 to 5%.

Limits are just as thin. The official FAQ says you choose the amount when you create the code, within the statutory limits, and gives no figures. Some shops cap daily prepaid payments. Each eVoucher has a fixed value, and the published values conflict between sources. On top of that, the casino sets its own minimum and maximum deposit, so check the cashier before you head to a shop.

Worked Example: A €50 Deposit

Say you use an online casino with CashtoCode in its cashier and want to deposit €50. You enter €50, get a barcode and pay €50 at a kiosk. If the casino shows a fee in its cashier, or the till shows an extra charge, that is your real cost, so check the screen and the receipt. If the kiosk has already reached its daily prepaid limit, take the same barcode to another shop within 7 days.

At a German-licensed operator, €50 would also count towards the cross-provider deposit limit of generally 1,000 euros a month set by the GGL, so 20 deposits of that size would reach it.

With an eVoucher, a code in a different currency from your casino balance is converted at the casino’s rate, according to the portal, so buy in your account currency.

Who Is Behind CashtoCode and Who Regulates It

The brand is a registered trademark of Funanga, and two companies carry that name:

  • Funanga AG, Friedrichstrasse 95, Berlin, commercial register HRB 147973 B according to its imprint. The company says it was founded in 2013.
  • Funanga Ltd, registered in England and Wales as company number 11030068 at Companies House, incorporated in October 2017 and active. The consumer terms name this company as the technical service provider.

Ownership has been in flux. In August 2024 a listed German company, then called SGT German Private Equity and later The Payments Group Holding, agreed to buy 72.9% of Funanga AG. Its own releases show repeated delays, and in January 2026 it said closing in the original structure was no longer considered likely. We found no confirmation that the purchase completed.

Separately, Companies House shows that Funanga AG stopped being listed as the controlling owner of the UK company on 1 April 2026; private individuals are listed since then.

On regulation, we searched the BaFin company database and the FCA Register for “Funanga” and “CashtoCode” on 20 October 2026 and found no entry. Neither the company websites nor the consumer terms mention a licence, e-money authorisation or safeguarding of customer money. The company describes the product as a closed-loop, single-purpose voucher that cannot be passed between people. None of this suggests wrongdoing, but you should not expect the protections of a regulated e-money wallet.

How to Choose CashtoCode Casinos

Plenty of pages rank top CashtoCode casinos and top CashtoCode online casinos by bonus size. A payment method says nothing about whether a casino is safe; the licence does. Before you use any of the online casinos that accept CashtoCode, check:

  • Licence: the operator holds a licence for your country, shown in the site footer and on the regulator’s register.
  • Both directions: a casino that accepts CashtoCode for deposits must also offer a withdrawal method you can use.
  • Fees, limits and payout times: the casino’s minimum deposit, any cashier fee and how long withdrawals take to your chosen method.
  • Bonus terms: some casinos exclude certain payment methods from welcome offers, so read the casino’s rules and our bonuses and free spins guides.
  • Safer-gambling tools: deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion you can set in your account.

Rather than hand-picking names, FAQsino shows an automatic Top 5 Casinos Accepting CashtoCode panel directly below this guide, ranked by our Trust Score and matched to your location. It draws on the casino sites that accept CashtoCode in our database; for full write-ups of each operator, browse our casino reviews.

CashtoCode Sportwetten: Betting in Germany

German searches for CashtoCode Sportwetten are about betting sites. Germany licenses online gambling operators, and the Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder (GGL) publishes a whitelist of permitted operators. Check the bookmaker there first, then see whether the method appears in its cashier.

The GGL’s player-protection overview sets rules that matter for any cash deposit: deposits and withdrawals may only run through payment accounts in the player’s own name, and the cross-provider deposit limit is generally capped at 1,000 euros a month, enforced through the LUGAS system. We could not verify how a cash barcode fits those rules, or that any GGL-licensed operator currently accepts it, so ask the operator before you go to a shop.

Official site: cashtocode.de, not cashtocode.com
Barcode: valid 7 days at any participating shop
Payouts: not supported by this method

Where Can I Use CashtoCode?

Only at online merchants that show it at checkout. Funanga says it supports thousands of online merchants and that its barcodes can be paid at about 550,000 retail locations. That is the company’s own figure, and earlier company announcements gave much lower numbers. Its 2021 partner announcements covered poker rooms, sports-betting operators and the online casinos CashtoCode signed up that year, so online casino CashtoCode deposits are the use you are most likely to meet.

On geography, the official consumer site covers Germany and offers phone support for Germany and Austria. Launch announcements since 2019, including a Canadian cash launch at Now Prepay shops in 2023, are in the timeline above. We found no current official country list, so check availability in the casino cashier itself.

In Austria, the Finance Ministry (BMF) says gambling is in principle reserved to the federal government and run through a limited, closely supervised concession system, so check an operator’s authorisation before you deposit.

CashtoCode eVoucher Australia: What We Found

The brand entered Australia in 2021 with epay Australia, as a cash option for online brands licensed in Australia for sports betting and skill games, according to Funanga’s release. Some resellers list AUD eVouchers, but Dundle’s listing showed as unavailable when we checked, and we could not confirm current availability. Australian law restricts online casino services, so a voucher being on sale does not make an online casino legal to use there.

Why a CashtoCode Payment Fails at a Casino

Even at casino sites with CashtoCode in the cashier, failed deposits often trace back to the shop, the code or the casino’s own settings. Work through the table before contacting support.

Is CashtoCode Safe? Reputation and Reviews

From a privacy point of view the design is reassuring: you enter no card or bank details, and you pay in cash. The casino still knows who you are, because licensed operators verify their players, so the method is discreet rather than anonymous.

Customer feedback is harder to read. Trustpilot has no page we could verify as the company’s own. The page for cashtocode.com, rated 3.2 out of 5 from 21 reviews when we checked, covers the independent affiliate portal, not Funanga. A page for cash2code.com scored 3.1 from 16 reviews. Both are unclaimed and the samples are small. Complaints on the cash2code.com page included leftover voucher balances that could not be used and listed shops that did not accept the code; positive reviews on both pages praised speed and privacy.

We found no regulator warning, fine or data breach involving Funanga in the sources we checked, and no reliable reporting tying the method to unlicensed casinos. When comparing CashtoCode casinos, the operator’s licence remains the bigger safety question.

Gambling Blocks and Spending Controls When You Pay Cash

Cash cuts both ways for safer gambling. Paying at a counter adds friction, and handing over notes can make the amount feel real. But a gambling block in your banking app, where your bank offers one, cannot see cash you pay at a kiosk. We found no gambling block or spending limit offered by the service itself.

That makes the casino’s own tools more important:

  • Set a deposit limit in your casino account before your first cash deposit.
  • Use time-outs or self-exclusion if you need a break. In Germany, licensed operators connect to the OASIS exclusion system, and the GGL says a self-exclusion can be requested free of charge for at least three months.
  • Don’t create a new barcode to chase a loss. The 7-day validity is a window to pay, not a reason to.

Gambling is for adults (18+). If it stops being fun, our responsible gambling page lists tools and free support.

How It Compares With Other Prepaid Vouchers

The cash barcode works differently from PIN vouchers such as Paysafecard, Cashlib, Neosurf or Flexepin, where you usually buy a code first and spend it later. With the barcode, the deposit starts at the casino and the shop only completes it, so no half-used voucher sits in your drawer. The eVoucher behaves more like a PIN voucher.

MiFinity’s 2021 eVoucher on Funanga’s platform is issued by MiFinity under its own regulation; compare other options in our prepaid voucher category.

Who It Suits, and Who Should Skip It

The method makes most sense for a player who wants to keep gambling payments off a card statement, has a participating shop nearby and deposits modest, planned amounts. For that player, CashtoCode casino sites offer a quick way in with nothing to register.

It suits you less if you:

  • want one method for both deposits and withdrawals, because payouts always go elsewhere;
  • deposit large sums, since shop limits and casino limits both apply and neither is published centrally;
  • live outside Germany and Austria, where we could not confirm current availability;
  • want regulatory protection for money in transit, which we could not find for this service.

Because online casinos with CashtoCode must pay winnings by another method, a practical set-up is cash in, bank transfer or e-wallet out. Decide on that pairing once, verify it, and keep using it.

What We Could Not Verify

  • A consumer fee or per-transaction maximum for the cash barcode.
  • An official, current list of countries.
  • Any licence, e-money authorisation or safeguarding arrangement held by Funanga.
  • Whether the 2024 share deal completed, and who leads the company today.
  • Consistent eVoucher rules on values, partial use and regional availability.
  • A specific refund or expiry rule for an unpaid barcode or an unused eVoucher balance. The official pages state only the 7-day validity.

If any of this changes, we will update the review. Tell us what you see in your casino’s cashier in the forum below.

Our Take: Cash In, Winnings Out Elsewhere

It does one job well: it turns cash into an instant casino deposit without exposing a card or bank account. The trade-offs are real. It is deposit-only, the company publishes no fees or limits for its main product, and we found no regulatory authorisation behind it. Use it for small, planned deposits at a licensed casino where a withdrawal method is already in place.

FAQ

What is CashtoCode and how does it work?

It is a cash deposit method run by Funanga, which operates through Funanga AG in Berlin and Funanga Ltd in the UK. You choose it at the casino cashier, enter an amount and get a barcode. You then pay that amount in cash at a participating kiosk, tobacconist or petrol station. Once the shop scans the code, the money is credited to your casino balance straight away. The barcode stays valid for 7 days.

Can I withdraw casino winnings with CashtoCode?

No. The official site states that payouts do not run through the service. Casinos pay winnings by another method they support, usually a bank transfer or an e-wallet. Check which payout methods your casino offers, and complete its identity checks, before you make your first cash deposit, so that a withdrawal is not delayed later.

What is the CashtoCode official website?

The company is Funanga, whose merchant site is funanga.com. For players, Funanga links to cashtocode.de, the German-language consumer site with instructions, a shop finder and support contacts. The similar-looking cashtocode.com describes itself as an independent information portal, run by a Malta company, that is not the payment provider and earns affiliate revenue. We found no single global consumer site.

Is there a CashtoCode login or account?

No. The official FAQ says you do not need an account and do not register anywhere. The only login involved is your casino account, where you create the barcode. The current instructions on the official site involve no app or password; only its terms dated 30 October 2017 still describe an app login. Treat any page that asks for a CashtoCode username and password with suspicion.

How is the CashtoCode eVoucher different from the barcode?

The barcode is created at the casino cashier and paid in cash at a shop. The eVoucher is a 20-digit code you buy online from a reseller and type in at the cashier. Resellers sell it only in some regions; Dundle said its codes cannot be used in Europe, the US or the UK, and listed them as unavailable when we checked on 20 October 2026.

CashtoCode PayPal: can I buy a voucher with PayPal?

We found no link between the service and PayPal. PayPal cannot be used to pay the cash barcode, which is paid in notes and coins at a shop, and the method is not a PayPal product. If you buy an eVoucher, the reseller sets the payment options. Dundle's page for the product lists PayPal at checkout, but the codes were out of stock on 20 October 2026, so check the reseller's checkout page.

Is the CashtoCode eVoucher available in Australia?

The brand launched a cash option in Australia in 2021 with epay Australia, aimed at Australian-licensed online sports betting and skill-game operators, according to Funanga. Some resellers list AUD eVouchers, but Dundle showed them as unavailable on 20 October 2026. Australian law restricts online casino services, so availability of a voucher does not make an online casino legal there.

Is CashtoCode safe, legit and regulated?

You share no card or bank details, which limits what can leak. However, we found no entry for Funanga or the brand on the BaFin database or the FCA Register when we searched on 20 October 2026, and no licence or safeguarding statement on its sites. That does not suggest wrongdoing, but you should not expect e-money protections. The casino licence matters more for your safety.

Are there fees or limits on CashtoCode casino deposits?

The official sites publish no consumer fees or fixed limits for the cash barcode. You choose the amount within legal limits, and some shops cap daily prepaid payments. For eVouchers, third-party sources say redemption is free but some resellers add a handling charge. Each casino also sets its own minimum and maximum deposit, so check the cashier first.

Where can I use CashtoCode?

Only at online merchants that show it at checkout, which in practice are mostly casino, poker and sports-betting sites. You pay the barcode at participating shops such as kiosks, tobacconists and petrol stations. The official consumer site covers Germany, with phone support for Germany and Austria. Funanga has announced launches in other countries, but we found no current official list.

Can I use CashtoCode for Sportwetten in Germany?

Only at a bookmaker that offers it and holds a German licence. Check the operator on the whitelist published by the Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder (GGL) first, then look for the method in its cashier. We could not confirm that any GGL-licensed operator accepts it at the moment, so do not rely on older lists of betting sites.

Do cash barcode deposits count for casino bonuses?

That depends entirely on the casino. Some casinos exclude certain payment methods, often prepaid ones, from welcome offers or other promotions, and the rule is written in the bonus terms. Read those terms before depositing, and ask support if the method is not mentioned. The payment provider itself does not run bonuses or set wagering rules.
