Siru Mobile is a Finnish pay-by-phone service. Instead of typing in a card number, you enter your mobile number, confirm with a one-time SMS code, and the charge is added to your phone bill or taken from prepaid credit. You pay your network later, not Siru.
Short answer: it is quick and private, but for gambling it is a pay-later method, and paying later is a form of credit. Sweden’s expanded ban on credit-funded gambling has been in force since 1 May 2026, Siru describes no way for casinos to pay winnings back to it, and Siru names no financial regulator on its own pages. If you pay with Siru Mobile at all, treat the 30-day cap as a ceiling, not a target, and set a block before you need one.
Safety comes first here. Limits, fees and rules were checked on Siru’s own FAQ and terms on 20 October 2026.
Siru Mobile at a glance (checked 20 October 2026)
What Is Siru Mobile and How Does It Work?
Siru describes itself as a technical provider of mobile payments. The standard phone-bill payment involves no bank account, card or stored balance: there is nothing to fund in advance and no card to order. The industry name for this is direct carrier billing, because the carrier (your mobile network) collects the money.
A Siru Mobile payment follows the same pattern everywhere, whether you are buying an app or making a Siru Mobile payment at a casino:
- You choose Siru at the checkout or casino cashier and enter your number.
- You receive a verification code by SMS. It works once, lasts 10 minutes and allows three attempts. Codes are never sent by email.
- The amount, plus Siru’s transaction fee and any operator charge, is added to your phone bill or deducted from prepaid credit.
- Your network bills you, usually in the current billing period.
No registration is needed, although you may be asked to verify your number or identify yourself. According to Siru’s FAQ, only your mobile number is passed on and data is SSL-encrypted. After your first payment you get a “thank you” SMS the next day; if you don’t recognise it, contact Siru.
Siru Mobile Faktura: Who Sends the Bill?
Swedish players often search for “Siru Mobile faktura” (invoice) or telefonrรคkning (phone bill), so here is the precise answer. Siru does not send you an invoice. The charge appears on your mobile operator’s bill, and the operator sets the billing period and due date. Siru’s FAQ says it does not handle billing: the charge is collected by your operator, and billing questions go there.
For gambling, that matters: you stake now and pay weeks later, which is deferred payment.
Siru Mobile Login, Saldo and SMS Codes
There is no account to log in to before paying. The only Siru Mobile login for consumers is MySiru (my.sirumobile.com), a self-service portal where you can:
- see your spending limit and what is left of it (your “saldo”, or balance, in Swedish searches);
- check your transaction history against your phone bill;
- block your number from Siru payments.
The standard service holds no cash balance, so your Siru Mobile saldo means remaining headroom under your 30-day cap, not money you own. The Siru Mobile SMS messages the FAQ describes are the verification code and the day-after confirmation.
The Siru Wallet Is a Different Product
The Siru Mobile wallet is a free e-wallet offered mainly in the Nordics. Per the official FAQ, you top it up by calling a premium-rate number, then spend the balance on sites that support it. You cannot withdraw wallet money or move it to a bank account or another wallet. We found no statement about how wallet funds are safeguarded.
Who Is Behind Siru and Who Regulates It?
The legal entity is Siru Mobile Oy, business ID 2396480-6, Kampinkuja 2, 00100 Helsinki. Its terms say Finnish law applies. The About page says it was founded in 2011 “by entrepreneurs” and has served more than 400 brands.
On regulation we have to be blunt. Siru’s homepage, About, FAQ, contact page and terms name no financial regulator, licence or register number. On 20 October 2026 we searched the FIN-FSA register of supervised entities for the name “Siru” and got no results (a control search for a major Finnish bank worked normally). Some casino sites claim a Finnish or UK licence; we found no register evidence for it.
EU payment rules exempt some small phone-billed purchases from payment licensing, so absence from the register is not proof of wrongdoing. But Siru does not say whether it relies on that exemption, so we cannot tell you who, if anyone, supervises it. We found no fines or enforcement action in the sources we checked.

Is Siru Mobile Safe for Casino Players?
Is Siru Mobile safe? The payment itself has sensible protections. Confirming a payment needs your phone and your SIM, codes expire quickly, no card details change hands, and Siru says it monitors transactions and can limit usage. Depending on the country and purchase, Siru may ask you to authenticate, and that step cannot be bypassed.
The weak points are elsewhere:
- No named regulator. You cannot check a licence or a complaints route beyond Siru’s own support.
- No reversals. Siru’s FAQ says a successful payment cannot be cancelled. The terms commit Siru to refunding incorrect charges caused by its own failure within two months, and rule out refunds for purchases you regret or made by mistake. If a charge looks wrong, compare your bill with MySiru, then contact Siru customer service (email, web form, chat or callback) and, for the bill itself, your operator.
- Anyone with your unlocked phone can pay, and the customer is liable. Lock it, and report a lost SIM to your operator straight away. Siru’s terms make the customer liable for actions taken knowingly or unknowingly, and allow use of someone else’s subscription only with the holder’s permission. Gambling is 18+, so never use a parent’s or partner’s SIM; parents can ask the operator to block charge-to-mobile services.
- It is credit-like. This is the big one for gambling, covered next.
Paying Later on a Phone Bill: Why It Counts as Credit
When you pay a casino with your phone bill, you spend money you have not yet paid. Siru’s own merchant page makes the point from the other side: it tells businesses that Siru, not the merchant, carries the credit-loss risk. The casino is covered; you are the one who owes the money later. Siru’s terms also allow it to check your credit record when necessary.
That creates three specific gambling risks:
- Spending money you don’t have yet. The deposit leaves no immediate hole in your bank balance, so it feels cheaper than it is.
- Chasing losses. A fast, frictionless top-up is exactly what makes “one more deposit” easy after a losing run.
- Bill shock. The total arrives weeks later on a bill that also covers your phone. If you can’t pay it, that is a debt with your network, and Siru says paying the bill is a matter between you and your operator.
If a bill that includes casino spend becomes unaffordable, tell your operator early and use free debt advice: MoneyHelper in the UK, municipal budget and debt advice (budget- och skuldrรฅdgivning) in Sweden, the talous- ja velkaneuvonta service in Finland, or a state-recognised Schuldnerberatung in Austria.
Prepaid credit (kontantkort in Swedish) removes the bill shock, but not the speed or the urge to top up again.
We do not recommend paying for gambling on a phone bill. Pick a deposit method that spends money you already have, and gamble only what you could lose today without missing it next month.
— FAQsino Payments DeskSweden: The Credit Ban Since 1 May 2026
Sweden’s expanded ban on credit-funded gambling took effect on 1 May 2026. It bars licence holders and agents from allowing or contributing to credit-funded gambling. Spelinspektionen puts it simply: “Kredit รคr nรคr du skjuter pรฅ betalningen av nรฅgot du kรถpt” (credit is when you postpone paying for something you have bought). It names credit cards, loans and paying afterwards by invoice as examples, and licensees must refuse a stake they know is credit-funded.
Phone bills are not named on its credit-ban pages. In 2021, trade press reported that the regulator considered mobile payments added to the phone invoice to be credit. Spelinspektionen withdrew that 2021 position when the new ban took effect, saying the situation it covered now falls under the ban itself. A phone-bill charge is billed after the purchase, so in our reading Swedish-licensed casinos should not be expected to offer it.
If you are in Sweden, check with the casino and Spelinspektionen before assuming otherwise, and see our Swedish Gambling Authority review. Players face no sanction, but the regulator warns that gambling on credit always carries a risk of harm and debt.
Finland, Norway and the UK
Finland: section 10 of the Lotteries Act bans organising gambling so that people can take part on credit. The statute does not say whether a phone-bill charge counts. Veikkaus still holds the exclusive right to run gambling; under a 2026 reform, the monopoly provisions are repealed from 1 July 2027.
Norway: section 7 of the Gambling Act bans offering gambling on credit. Norway is not on Siru’s country list, despite some casino sites claiming it is.
UK: the credit-card ban (since 14 April 2020) covers credit cards and e-wallets loaded from a credit card. The Gambling Commission’s guidance does not mention phone-bill billing, so we found no UK rule that bans it, but that does not make it safe.
In its evaluation of the card ban, the Commission found no sign of gamblers moving to pay-later phone billing, though its survey counted mobile phone accounts as a form of borrowing. See our UK Gambling Commission review.
| Country | Siru available? | Credit rule for gambling | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sweden | Yes (some networks excluded) | Expanded credit ban in force since 1 May 2026 | Invoice-after named as credit; check before using a phone bill |
| Finland | Yes | Lotteries Act s.10 bans gambling on credit | Phone bills not addressed in the statute |
| United Kingdom | Yes (Virgin Mobile limited) | Credit cards banned since 2020 | No rule found on phone bills; still pay-later |
| Austria | Yes | No rule found in our research | Treat it as credit anyway |
| Norway | No | Gambling Act s.7 bans offering gambling on credit | Not a Siru country |
Gambling Blocks and Spending Controls
Set these up before your first casino deposit:
- MySiru block. Block your number for 3, 6 or 12 months, temporarily, or permanently. A temporary block can be lifted at the earliest three months after it starts; a permanent block cannot be lifted at all.
- Lower your cap. Siru’s limits cannot be raised, but customer service can lower them.
- Operator block. Ask your mobile network to block charge-to-bill services on your number.
- Casino limits. Set deposit, loss and time limits in your casino account.
- National self-exclusion. GamStop blocks you at online gambling companies licensed in Great Britain for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years. Spelpaus covers Swedish-licensed gambling for 10 days to 6 months, or until further notice (at least 12 months), and cannot be undone or ended early. Siru’s pages describe no link to either scheme. UK players are better protected on UKGC-licensed sites, which must honour GamStop.
Free support exists in all four Siru countries (table below). Our responsible gambling guide covers 18+ rules, limits and warning signs.
| Country | Service | How to reach it |

How to Block Siru Payments on Your Number
-
Step 1
Open my.sirumobile.com (the Login link on Siru's website) and sign in as prompted.
-
Step 2
Check your current limit and transaction history so you know what is already on its way to your bill.
-
Step 3
Choose a block: 3, 6 or 12 months, temporary, or permanent. If gambling worries you, permanent is the safest choice, and it cannot be undone.
-
Step 4
Ask your mobile operator to block charge-to-mobile services as a second layer, then add GamStop or Spelpaus if you are in the UK or Sweden.
Siru Mobile Limits and Fees
The caps are per phone number over a rolling 30 days, and they include fees. Each payment drops out of the calculation 30 days after it was made. Your network can set its own lower limit on top; Siru says the most common UK subscription limit is ยฃ240 a month.
On fees, Siru’s FAQ says the total is the price plus a transaction fee that varies by product, plus any operator service charge, and that the fee is always shown before you confirm. No fixed percentage is published. So read the confirmation screen every time, and expect each Siru Mobile insรคttning (deposit) to cost more than its face value.
Only local subscriptions work. In the UK, use is limited with Virgin Mobile and all operators that belong to its networks; in Sweden, Siru does not work with Telia, Comviq or Chilimobil.
| Country | Daily limit | 30-day limit | Extra rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | Operator may set one | ยฃ500 | Common subscription cap ยฃ240 a month |
| Sweden | SEK 1,000 | SEK 3,000 | Telia, Comviq, Chilimobil excluded |
| Finland | โฌ70 for new users | โฌ300 (โฌ150 for new users) | New-user limits apply for 90 days |
| Austria | Operator may set one | โฌ300 | Operator cap โฌ50 per transaction |
Worked Example: How the 30-Day Cap Plays Out
Say a UK player on a contract with a ยฃ240 monthly subscription limit deposits ยฃ100 on 1 March and ยฃ120 on 10 March. Siru’s fees are billed on top, so less than ยฃ20 of headroom is likely left. A third deposit of ยฃ50 on 15 March is declined, even though Siru’s own ยฃ500 cap is nowhere near used.
Under Siru’s rolling rule, the ยฃ100 from 1 March drops out of the 30-day count on 31 March; your network’s monthly limit may reset on its own schedule. Meanwhile, ยฃ220 plus fees is heading for a bill that may not arrive until April.
How to Make a Siru Mobile Deposit at a Casino
-
Step 1
Confirm the casino is licensed where you live and lists Siru in the cashier, then set up a payout method in your own name.
-
Step 2
Set casino deposit limits and check your remaining Siru headroom in MySiru.
-
Step 3
Choose Siru in the cashier, enter an amount and your number. If the casino holds a registered number, it must match the paying number.
-
Step 4
Read the fee on the confirmation screen, enter the SMS code within 10 minutes, and the funds usually show straight away.
-
Step 5
Note the amount: it will appear on your next phone bill and cannot be cancelled.
Deposits vs Withdrawals: The Siru Mobile Withdrawal Reality
A Siru Mobile withdrawal does not exist in the normal sense, and the Siru Mobile payment casino route is deposit-only. Siru describes no way to pay money back to a phone bill, and its wallet funds cannot be withdrawn either. In the listings we checked, casino sites that accept Siru Mobile deposits route payouts to other methods. One affiliate site says a small number of casinos pay out via the wallet service, which we could not confirm.
So any casino that accepts Siru Mobile deposits still has to pay you some other way. In practice it pays winnings by bank transfer, an e-wallet such as Skrill or a debit card in your name, after its own identity checks and pending period. Our fast withdrawals guide shows how payout speed is judged. That is why the payout method belongs in step one, not after a win. Our e-wallets hub and payment methods hub compare the options.
| Problem | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Payment declined | 30-day or daily cap reached (fees included) | Check MySiru; wait for older payments to drop off |
| Declined well below the cap | Your network's own subscription limit | Ask your operator; do not look for workarounds |
| Not offered on your SIM | Non-local SIM or excluded network | Use another method |
| Prepaid payment fails | Insufficient credit, or plan blocks mobile charges | Top up or check your plan |
| Code rejected | Expired after 10 minutes or 3 wrong tries | Start a new payment |
| Number blocked | MySiru block or frequent number switching | Temporary blocks lift after 3 months at the earliest |
| Number hidden or secret | Siru needs a visible number | Turn off number hiding and retry |
Choosing a Siru Mobile Casino: Licence First
Lists of top Siru Mobile casinos change constantly, and several we reviewed contradict their own data. Whether you want casinos that accept Siru Mobile, one top online casino that accepts Siru Mobile or a longer list of top casino sites that accept Siru Mobile, we do not hand-pick names. Check these points instead:
- Licence in your own country, verified on the regulator’s register.
- Deposits and withdrawals: Siru covers only the deposit, so confirm a payout route.
- Fees, limits and payout times on the casino’s banking page.
- Bonus terms: some casinos exclude pay-by-phone deposits from offers; check before you claim anything on our bonuses page.
- Safer-gambling tools: deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion.
The automatic Top 5 Casinos Accepting Siru Mobile panel directly below this guide ranks online casinos with Siru Mobile by FAQsino Trust Score for your location. The casino reviews hub has the full detail on licences, payout methods and limits for each online casino with Siru Mobile in its cashier.
Siru Mobile Casinos UK, Sweden and Betting Sites
UK: when you compare Siru Mobile casinos UK players can use, only UKGC-licensed operators are legal, and the cashier is the only reliable place to confirm Siru is offered today.
Sweden: looking for a casino med Siru Mobile? Read the credit-ban section first: Swedish-licensed sites should not be expected to take phone-bill payments.
Betting: Siru Mobile betting works the same way at bookmakers, with the same caps and the same deposit-only limit. Our mobile casinos guide applies the same licence-first checks to phone play.
Curaรงao and MGA Casinos with Siru Mobile
Searches such as “casino Siru Mobile”, “online casino Siru Mobile”, “Siru Mobile casino online”, “casino Curacao Siru Mobile” or “MGA casino with Siru Mobile” deserve a straight answer. Siru publishes no casino partners and no link to any gambling regulator, so a licence label alone tells you nothing about whether a casino takes Siru; only its cashier does.
What changes with the licence is your protection. A casino without a licence in your country is not bound by its rules on credit, deposit limits or self-exclusion, and disputes go to that casino’s regulator, not yours. Read our Malta Gaming Authority review and Curaรงao Gaming Authority review before trusting either label. A pay-later method at a site outside your country’s rules removes the protections built for exactly this risk.
Siru Mobile vs Other Casino Payment Methods
The main difference is when the money leaves you. A prepaid voucher such as Paysafecard is paid for before you use it, and open-banking methods such as Trustly move money that is already in your account. On a contract, Siru is the only one of the three where you pay for the deposit after you have played.
| Point | Siru | Prepaid voucher | Open banking |
|---|---|---|---|
| When you pay | Later, on the phone bill (or prepaid credit) | Before, when you buy the voucher | At once, from your bank balance |
| Details shared with casino | Phone number | Voucher code | Bank account, via the provider |
| Withdrawals to it | No | Usually no | Often yes, casino-dependent |
| Built-in cap | Hard 30-day limit per number | Voucher value | Your bank balance and casino limits |
| Credit risk | Yes | No | No (unless an overdraft is used) |
What Users Say: Trustpilot and Flashback
Siru’s Trustpilot profile showed 2.8 from just three reviews on 20 October 2026, the newest from June 2025, so it tells you very little. On Flashback, the Swedish forum, a search for Siru returns a handful of threads from 2016 to 2022. We read only the titles, mostly people asking which casinos take phone-bill or invoice payments, so we make no claim about what users think. If you read Siru Mobile Flashback threads, remember they predate Sweden’s 2026 credit ban.
What We Could Not Verify
- Which regulator, if any, supervises Siru’s company, and on what legal basis.
- Whether wallet funds are safeguarded.
- Whether Spelinspektionen treats phone bills as credit: it names invoices, not phone bills.
- Which licensed online casino sites that accept Siru Mobile exist today, and their minimums: these vary and change.
Our Bottom Line on Siru
For buying an app, Siru is fast, private and capped. As a casino deposit method, it combines three things we would rather not see together: payment after play, no route back for winnings, and no named regulator.
Its hard caps and permanent block are genuinely useful. If you gamble, set them first, or deposit with money you already have.
